Happy Halloween and Breast Cancer Awareness month! : D

This year I decided to dress up as a Crazy Pink Fairy because it was my daughters idea. Naturally, every year when I am sure what to dress up as I just take the queue to dress up as whatever my daughter is that year. Last year we were both black cats. Anyway she was a Hannah Montana purple fairy and I was a crazy pink fairy. Another reason though why I chose that theme is because 1) My favorite color is Pink 2) Its Breast Cancer Awareness month in October 3) Its Halloween! : D So with that, that is what I did for this October. 🙂

Halloween Facts from CNN

(CNN) — The United States might be in a tricky economic situation, but it won’t stop Americans from buying vampire fangs or princess tiaras.

– U.S. consumers spent more than $2.5 billion on costumes this year, according to the National Retailers Federation.

– The average household has shelled out $21.05 in Halloween candy alone.

Breast Cancer Facts from BreastCancer.org

About 1 in 8 U.S. women (just under 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.

For women in the U.S., breast cancer death rates are higher than those for any other cancer, besides lung cancer.

The color Pink is my favorite color because its so vibrant and bright. Mixture of red and white.

I originally though wanted to be an 80’s Pop Singer or Elvis. I unfortunately was not able to find a costume that suits me. I also have wanted to dress up as a guy or goth and I could neither because my daughter would not like that. So whenever I am unsure of what to do, I look for my daughter for inspiration. 🙂 Then whatever she ends up being I decide to do as well. For example last year we were both black cats 🙂

So anyway I am so happy that this holiday is finally over! I think it dragged for a while. My favorite holiday is next THANKSGIVING! : D
