This year we did Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years a little different. One, I did not cook, we ordered a Thanksgiving meal from Harmons Grocery and two we celebrated it on Sunday, November 24th 2013 because that was the only time that my parents would be home from work (team truck drivers) and on top of celebrating Thanksgiving early, we also celebrated Christmas and New Years as well. And we made up our own holiday Happy New (New Years) Chris (Christmas) Giving (Thanksgiving) HAPPY NEW CHRIS GIVING! 😀
The traditional turkey dinner at Harmons was fantastic and worth the pricey expense. I normally like to cook on Thanksgiving and have for the last 2 years (finally learned how to cook a turkey too) and prior to that we went out 2 years in a row to a restaurant for Thanksgiving. So I really have no idea what we are going to do next year. Might be the same as this year. But Thanksgiving is MY Holiday and its about spending time with family and eating good food. I know it was initially the history of the Pilgrims and Indians but I think the truth we are told in history class is a bit sketchy like most history taught in schools.
Anyway have a Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂
