Utah Denies Medical Marijuana Bill Per LDS Church
Utah Denies Medical Marijuana Bill Per LDS Church “Along with others, we have expressed concern about the unintended consequences that may accompany the legalization of medical marijuana,” LDS Church spokesman Eric Hawkins said in a statement to The Tribune. “We have expressed opposition to Senator Madsen’s bill because of that concern. We are raising no objection to the other bill that addresses this issue.” according to the senators of Utah.
Utah Denies Medical Marijuana Bill Per LDS Church – I think its a bunch of bullshit and their only doing it for two reasons. One to have control over the state since the federal government took that away when they legalized same sex marriage and two because they fear change.
These “consequences” that they are referring to are hilarious. What consequences are there for smoking pot? Please enlighten me. Eating all the food in the refrigerator? Napping? Getting rid of back pain? I mean really?? Even if it were to fall in the wrong hands what would fucking happen?? LOL!!!!!!!!
There really is no surprise though, I mean look at our rediculous liquor laws. I am so happy to move from this state. Our alcohol percentage is over 3.2% and is a alcohol controlled beverage state, meaning you can only purchase liquor in Utah Liquor Stores with the exception of beer, but they did allow Mikes Hard Lemonade back into Walmart! LOL! I swear this whole thing is so rediculous its amusing as fuck lol! Like we’re 5 years old and cant decide for ourselves so the state has to make up its mind for us like our parents.
Its funny though how the state is okay with using prescription drugs which are deadly and addictive but medical marijuana in their eyes has consequential damages. Its also not barred in other states if Mormons use it where its legalized but here? Its highly ironic and I think mostly about control if nothing else but they could bar Mormons from using it per their religion if they chose.
IF Utah did allow Medical Marijuana it would have been the 24th state to do so. Maybe one day Utah will grow up and do like the adults do. One step at a time I guess.
