McDonalds and Walmart – they rule the world…
I hit McDonalds and Walmart at LEAST once a week. I think these two really dominate the Market, Nationally as well as Internationally. McDonalds stock is 85.65 and Walmart is 53.51 per share.
And whats funny about all of this, neither one of them are considered good for you LOL!
A lot of Walmarts merchandise comes from China. I heard they make sure that they pay their employees enough to where they could get assistance. That is merchandisers in the USA want Walmart to carry their merchandise that they have to sell it to Walmart VERY cheap or else they won’t carry it. They like to get their stuff pennies on the dollar.
McDonalds on the other hand – has their products chemically made. Bacteria in their soda fountain machines. And is a big reason for obesity in America.
But why do we shop there even if these reasons are valid? Because its fast and cheap! I know McDonalds is trying to improve their customer base by adding healthy items such as fruit and walnut salad (my fave). Whenever I normally go I pickup nuggets and fries for my daughter and a cheeseburger for myself or a fruit and walnut salad.
To each his own I guess…I will probably most likely continue to shop at both places. Because I won’t deny it even if its the preferred method not too.
A little bit about Me….

Was going to start the day I was born but didn’t want to go that deep! LOL! I’ll just with I have been an Entrepreneur since I was 18 years old. Before that I wanted to be a Pop Star. I guess you can see what happened next LOL! Once I learned about the internet, I started blogging but at the time it was called an “online journal”. Built my first website when I was 16 with HTML. LOVE HTML Love codes, you cannot go wrong with it.
I love trying new things, I love pampering myself. My new recent adventures are extreme couponing and penny auctions. Still learning about both, My favorite things I have learned about and done is getting FREE stuff.
I think I still want to create a name for myself. I LOVE MLM or Network Marketing. I just recently quit drinking soda and then went back to drinking it only 20% of the time. I love my Dr. Pepper. 
A guy at the store today told me he likes my DP (Dr. Pepper) shirt LOL.
My new thing is working out and I love it. What I discovered about working in the health and fitness industry as a Beach Body Coach is I now love running and clean eating. I think its great for the body and mind.
I love vacationing! My daughter and I love going on cruises. We had such a ball this year, miss it and want to go again. So this is our second time cruisin but we are going to make it a point to go every year. Crossing my fingers that we go in February 2012,
My main goal in life is to be Financially Independent and own my own Diner. I love to cook! I have famous taco recipe that everyone loves. I love trying new foods (at places) every other weekend and trying new recipes, every other weekend.

Food Review: McDonald’s Fruit and Walnut Salad
My new favorite healthy snack at McDonald’s is their snack size Fruit and Walnut salad! So delish! : D Its made with wedges of crisp apples, juicy red grapes, candied walnuts and low-fat vanilla yogurt and its only 210 calories.
I kind of discovered it by accident, I was kind of having a bad day at work, felt fat and disgusted with myself and my daughter had asked for McDonald’s for dinner, so I got her her usual and since I was feeling lousy, in the back of my mind, I was thinking you are what you eat. So I decided to pick myself up McDonald’s Fruit and Walnut salad. And it was just fabulous! : D Now when I usually go to McDee’s I pick up one and now my daughter likes to have them as well.
What I like to do is put the walnuts in with the yogurt and then dip the apple and pickup the yogurt and walnut with it. YUM! : D
Very delicious fruit snack! : D
Not just a dollar…
I am inspired today to talk about the one dollar bill, why you ask? Well, I was listening to the radio on my way home from work and their was a radio commercial about the one dollar bill complaining about how it doesn’t get enough credit and that you can buy a double cheeseburger and how that makes the one dollar bill valuable. I thought it was interesting and true, especially since a couple of weeks ago I was able to buy breakfast and lunch for $2.22. So I figure for $3 (not including tax) you can buy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Because now most fast food restaurants offer value menus, you can buy can, box or frozen food for less than the mighty buck. So there is some food for thought.
News: Police: Man fires at Utah McDonald’s drive-thru after learning only breakfast available
Story SALT LAKE CITY – Police said a customer fired one or two shots into a Salt Lake City McDonald’s after the driver of the car he was in was told the restaurant was not serving lunch yet. Police said the female driver of a white Dodge Intrepid pulled up to the drive-thru and ordered from the lunch menu early Sunday but was told only breakfast was available. Police said two men then got out of the car and one pulled a sawed-off shotgun from the trunk, shooting into the drive-thru window once or twice, The Salt Lake Tribune reported Monday. No one was injured. The car then left the scene.
Ok, first with this story, I am glad no one was hurt. Two, I wanted to post about this story yesterday but was worried because I was a little amused but at the same time take violence against human and animals VERY SERIOUSLY, especially this day and age. But today I figured its okay, it was in a way funny and I wanted to stick to my Hamburger theme. So, if I offend anyone, I do apologize ahead of time.
Well, first of all its funny…because I think the MAJORITY of the time people complain about them ending breakfast too soon. At least I DO. I happen to live in SLC, Utah and breakfast ends at 10:30 am during the weekdays and I think on the weekends at 11 am. I LOVE my McDonald’s Chicken Biscuit and will do whatever I can to get it 2-3 times a week! LOL! : D
You say Tomato, I say Salmonella

Ok first I wanted to just this is just sad. 
I Love tomatoes and I always cook with them – I usually make salsa and tacos. Now the removal of them at restaurants, means it must be really serious. I hope that they are at least investigating where the outbreak of salmonella and which farmer this had started from.
In the meantime, I have to look for tomato alternatives in my cooking. So far I am looking into Mexican Chiles (such as sauce used in Mole etc..I love Mole!) or tomatillos (green tomatoes), frozen tomatoes, tomato paste, or anything else that may work. So far I may do a couple of those things listed above. Plus you can also grow your own or buy organic tomatoes, which we may do also. So maybe its not a complete loss…I hope this goes away in a couple of months.
I also wanted to add this is not good with the economy in bad shape – besides rising cost of food and gas, people are trying to find the best means to live. A lot have even looking into alternative options like SPAM. (see post below)
Till the outbreak is over you may as well just wait it out and use alternatives.
New McDonald’s Southern Style Chicken Biscuit
On Thursday, May 15th 2008 McDonald’s had two chicken sandwiches that they were giving away to try (with a purchase of a medium or large drink) during the AM and PM. Well, we decided to try the AM Southern Style Chicken Biscuit sandwich in the AM before work because one they were free and two they looked really good.
To my surprise, I LIKED THEM A LOT! And ever since that day I had been craving them, so the following morning we had ordered another sandwich at McDonald’s to eat before work and almost every other day after that.
Since I am not good at writing descriptions on this sandwich, just basically its a piece of chicken and a biscuit, it may not sound as delightful as….Juicy, tender chicken breast on a moist buttery biscuit…there that is the best I can do.
Anyway, TRY ONE! If not for me, then for your stomach, because it REALLY hits the spot.
Starbucks closes staff for Retraining

First, Starbucks sales have been declining, then Starbucks closes for national company staff retraining today? I am not sure having a hard time finding the date. A lot of competitors took advantage of the fact that they had to close for retraining and either gave away coffee or sold it for cheap.
Anyway, believe or not, just this year I started drinking outside coffee…but being a huge coffee freak that I am I am surprised I hadn’t drank at various coffee locations like Starbucks or Beans and Brew.
I don’t quite understand the decline in the Starbucks craze…maybe it just losing its flavor…LOL no pun intended…the quality still tastes fine to me…I do prefer Beans and Brew sometimes because I get a Rewards card and I am all about the rewards and plus their coffee is good and its something different. Dunkin Donuts coffee, I am sorry but they suck, McDonalds coffee is actually really good and I LOVE 7-11 Coffee! But that is just my opinion
